Ridge Runners remind you why
rock mattered in the first place
— and why it still does.

Founded in 2019 by songwriter and guitarist Coleman Rigg, the band has grown from a local spark into a rising force. Their debut self-titled record, Coleman Rigg & The Ridge Runners (2021), captured their raw beginnings, while 2023’s A Place I Thought I’d Never Be showcased a matured sound that turned heads beyond Philly. Along the way, they’ve hit milestones like performing on Alt 104.5’s Brewery Tour, lighting up the Philadelphia Zoo festival, and hitting the road for short tours to bring their records to new audiences. Now, with their third full-length record due out in 2026, Ridge Runners are poised for their next evolution.

In an era crowded with imitation, revival, and nostalgia packaged for easy listening, Ridge Runners are forging their own path. Drawing from decades of sound — early 2000s indie, ’70s classic rock, ’90s alt-radio, grunge, and dozens more splintered sub-genres — they weave it into something unmistakably their own.

Rock has never stopped growing — it’s branched, twisted, and sprawled in every direction. Ridge Runners don’t try to trim it back or stay on one limb, carrying the same spirit as the founders of the genre. Their music feels both timeless and alive, forward-thinking yet haunted by the ghosts of the past. Just when a song feels familiar, they introduce a guitar lick, vocal melody, or synth hook that takes their sound to the genre-room next door.

While others try to go back in time, Ridge Runners offer something more vital: that rush of discovering your favorite band for the first time. Not just the sound — the feeling. Like being seen and heard in the chaos of life; being a part of something new and upcoming.

Connecting all the eras and offshoots of rock might seem impossible — but Ridge Runners are brave enough to try.
